Health Guarantee

At Vinzs Smart Kitten’s Place, we stand by the health and well-being of our kittens. We offer both a health guarantee and warranty to ensure that your new Ragdoll, British Shorthair, Maine Coon, or Bengal kitten is healthy and ready to join your family.

Health Guarantee:

  • 1-Year Health Guarantee: All kittens come with a 1-year health guarantee. If the kitten is found not to be healthy at the time of sale, we will replace it or refund the full purchase price.

  • Veterinarian Health Check: If your veterinarian conducts a health check-up within 10 days of the purchase and finds a problem that is too costly to cure or cannot be cured, we will replace the kitten with one of equal or greater value. To do so, you must return the kitten to us with a letter from the veterinarian explaining the nature of the disease. This letter must be on official letterhead, with the veterinarian’s stamp seal. The kitten will be replaced, or the full purchase price refunded.

  • In the Event of Death: If the kitten dies within 10 days of purchase, you must immediately refrigerate (not freeze) the kitten’s body in a sealed plastic bag and take the deceased kitten to a qualified veterinarian for dissection within 12 hours to determine the cause of death. If a viral disease or a congenital defect is found to be the cause of death, we will replace the kitten or refund the full purchase price. The veterinarian’s letter must be on official letterhead with the stamp seal. Photos and video of the deceased kitten, including the identification tape, must be presented to us.

  • Exclusions: It is understood that the seller will not be responsible for veterinary bills, including the cost of a necropsy, or for reimbursing shipping costs if the kitten was originally shipped to you. The health guarantee becomes null and void if the identification band is removed from the kitten. The veterinarian must include the band number and the reason for its removal when explaining a disease or cause of death.

Health Warranty:

  • Veterinarian Health Examination: The health of the kitten is ensured through an examination by a CERTIFIED veterinarian at the discretion and expense of the buyer. If the kitten’s health is unsatisfactory, and written documentation is provided by a licensed, CERTIFIED veterinarian, the buyer must promptly return the kitten to the breeder and will receive a full refund of the purchase price. This documentation must include the band number and breed of the kitten.

  • No Responsibility for Costs: The breeder is not responsible for any costs incurred by the buyer during this process, including veterinary examination fees or the costs of returning the kitten to the breeder.

  • In the Event of Death: In the unlikely event that the kitten dies within 12 days of acquisition, the buyer must immediately refrigerate (not freeze) the kitten’s body, wrap it in paper towels, and place it in a sealed plastic bag. The kitten must be taken to a qualified, licensed veterinarian for necropsy within 72 hours after death. All necropsy reports, which must include the band number and breed of the kitten, should be sent to our veterinarian.

  • Necropsy Findings: If the necropsy confirms that the cause of death was due to conditions that arose prior to the sale, a replacement kitten from the closest available litter of the same breed will be offered. The cost of the necropsy is the responsibility of the buyer. The breeder is not liable for any other costs, including veterinary bills or shipping costs if the kitten was shipped to the buyer.

Exclusions and Conditions:

  • The breeder is not responsible for any medical expenses, including the cost of the necropsy, or for any shipping costs.
  • The health warranty and guarantee become void if the kitten’s identification band is removed. If the band is removed, the veterinarian must include the band number and reason for removal in any health-related documentation.
